Fishing in "CLEAR" WATER?

Left home at 07.40, picked up petrol,
and arrived at my son Russells home at 08.05.
Loaded up his fishing kit and headed off to Wales.
A quick diversion to Bridgend to pick up my Xmas present
From my boys and wife,
A Daiwa STS13RGM fishing rod.
Then headed towards Porthcawl and Tracco Bay / Newton.
Arrived there at 10.00
O.K here goes! Set up two identical rods and reels,
used 3 hook flapper rig, Wish bone rig
and live bait Pulley Pennell rig.
Main line was 18ld Daiwa Sensor (brown colour).
Baits were Rag, Lug, Mackeral, Squid Razor Fish and Sand Eels.
Then watched the rods?
Watched some more?
Took some Photos!
and some more photos****

Guess what Russell did the same.

Lovely warm day, calm and watery sunshine.
Aaaaggghhh we BLANKED???!!!!
Packed up at 15.00 just before high tide
so we would beat the Bristol rush traffic.
Home by 17.00.
No fish no bites but a wonderful day and very
good company.
