First warm fishing session 04-05-16

High water was at
18.16
and 12.6mtrs
Rag, Squid and Peelers
was the bait.
 Flat calm with light southerly
breeze,
made for a very enjoyable evenings fishing.
Rigs of the day were
Wishbone rig and Pennell Pullies.

 A small 4 inch Codling
fancied the Rag on the Wishbone
first cast.
Then it went quiet till
a series of rattles and pull downs
on the rod tip, a drop back
made me think it could be a
Thornback Ray.
However
this lump of weed
plus 5 leads
wound in.
 A further 8 inch Codling
decided some Rag worm
was needed for diner
that was it for any rod tip action.
I fished from 16.00 till 19.15.
Nice sunset on my fishing trip.
